This neighborhood is just west of Fry rd. right under Morton RD. is it safe? Will it feel safe? Seemed better than other neighborhoods we drove through on the East side of Fry. Used to Kingwood area.

Not buying, selling house in kingwood and renting for a while so don't want to pay in rent what I would in a purchase. Which since rent is normally higher than purchase price for area puts us in a lower cost area. Going to look at South of I 10 today and more West (katy proper). The two rentals in that area mentioned in other post are very well kept and the neighborhood looks groomed, they are 1700 a month. I would be willing to go a little higher south of ten or katy proper if the area is considerably nicer. Looks like we would have to shop on N Fry for some stores anyway if lived in the Cinco Ranch area.
Wife needs to feel "Safe". Crime rate for the area code that Sundown Glen is in is lower than Kingwood on bestplaces.com but the area doesn't look as nice as where we live now. Not Sure if that part of the area code ( just West of N fry) is a true rating for codes cover large areas. The rental is right on corner of Morton and Fry looks like a large trailer park off N morton not to far from rental home.

I think it's "ok" to rent, would never buy a house there. Just keep in mind that they is a big trailer park around the corner. Not sure if you have school aged kids or not.

One thing about the one in Sunset is that we are Catholic and St. Edith Stein is right around the corner. Going to be going there two to three times a week due to a child ready for confirmation.

Thank you for this. Your time is appreciated. We liked S Fry a lot. The oak trees and area reminded us of Kingwood. We are struggling bc of lack of choices. Two people in the family are very allergic to Dust mites so carpet is not a good option for us. We really like a home for 1900 at S Fry and Westhiemer but it is full of carpet. We saw home in the area you posted above with laminate flooring throughout but we really need to stay East and like the S Fry area. Just have to make a choice and go with it.
