We are attending an event at the Pavilion on a Saturday night. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good PNO program that isn't too far away that a six year old would enjoy?

I know the Y's have them, some weekly, some every other week. We use the one in downtown Houston, 6:30 - 11:00. I am not sure if you have to be members though, it would not hurt to ask. The Y does not turn down anyone for membership, maybe they won't for the PNO? Let us know if you find out anything. BTW, the one we use also has PNO on Fridays, not just Saturday. They are all different, so check around.

I am not aware of any regular parent night out in the area. Of course, my kids are grown, but I know many that have little ones and the PNO usually coincides with a gymnastics group, church , etc. and they are sporadic.

See if one of your child's friends parents will let your kid sleep over. It takes a long time to get out of the venue after the concert, especially if you stay until the end, and the traffic stacks up terribly. Some folks rent a room at the nearby Marriott and hire a babysitter to stay at the hotel with their kids during the concert. It is a quick walk back to the hotel.
