I'm moving to Houston this month and will be traveling back and forth to the north east frequently. Do any of yall have any preference with airlines? airports? (Hobby vs Bush) I'm looking for a consistent airline where I can open up a membership and accrue some miles. I've used United so far and they seem to be decently priced with reasonable amenities (personal+carryon)

Thanks and appreciate the input

United or Southwest. United is terrible but it has the best routes from Houston to the NE
If you fly American it will almost always take you thru Dallas.

If I flew frequently, I'd probably pick United and get a credit card that offers lounge access.

If you live closer to Hobby or Bush, that should be a factor in your decision.

Thanks! I already have priority pass through the Chase Reserve but will still investigate the airline cards for status/upgrades (that's how those things work right? )

Hobby is much, much easier to fly out of than Bush.

-United is the best overall for routes.

-IAH (Bush) is the big airport, will give you the most options. It's a United hub.

-HOU (Hobby) is small, but it's quicker in/out (both the actual walk through airport itself, and getting into and out of the area), not sure if its a Southwest hub, but they seem to have a whole terminal to themselves whenever I am there.

Personally, I try to fly out of Hobby whenever I can. It smaller, lines are shorter, and it's been recently renovated into quite the nice airport several restaurants where you can get real food and wide concourses. Bush is also very modern and nice as well, much better than the older east coast airports.

It depends where you are flying to. We fly to BWI a lot, and always go Southwest. When we have to fly to Philadelphia, it is always United.

Southwest from Hobby is best if they fly to your cities otherwise United out of IAH.

Southwest for sure, unless you live north of Houston.
