Try meetup.com or the mom's club website for their chapters

that would be a good idea to bring up to the director of fun. He is looking for ideas.

There is a new park that opened near the pool. If you go during the day, you'll definitely meet moms hanging out with their kids. Probably the best way.

How old is your child? Bouncy houses worked well for us in cold weather. Library story hours or craft days also work.

@ana053: she is 4 years old . Bouncy house is a good idea . I do work and leave office at 4 PM , All library story hours or craft days are at 4pm .there is no way i can make it . Since i just moved to river stone area from another state it is very difficult for me to socialize in this cold weather . I hardly saw anybody outside last weekend . My daughter is really shy making friends so I need to have more and more play date to help her (I guess )

If she isn't in preschool, you might want to look into that.

A couple of other options:

The Little Galleria presented by MD Anderson's Children's Cancer Hospital At The Galleria® - A Shopping Center In Houston, TX 77056-5673 - A Simon Property

The Little Galleria presented by MD Anderson's Children's Cancer Hospital is a fun, interactive play area for children located on the second floor in the Borders Wing.

Gymboree Play & Music - Riverstone | Kids Out and About.com (Houston)

They have some free music classes for kids her age.

The library here in Pearland has some evening storytimes and some Saturday crafts, including doggy reading time
