I go to grocery stores that are convenient for me to get to. There are three Kroger stores I can get to and one HEB Pantry. And that HEB (in Timbergrove) is probably the worst HEB I have ever seen.

HEB is highly popular, but I'm not going to fight the clusterf*ck at Bunker Hill just to go grocery shopping.

And LOL at the thought of going to Wal Mart.

Everyone is always up in arms when a walmart goes up but apparently they still shop there! Haven't been to a Walmart in years and when I did, I surely didn't buy any of their produce or meats.

I love the fact that HEB doesn't require you to have some card in order to get the lowest prices. With other being 12.3 % I'm assuming it's the ethnic/speciality supermarkets which I shop at about once or twice a month.

That's why I shop there. It's convenient and they have good prices. I used to think Wal Mart was the cheapest, but HEB prices are not that all off from there's, and I don't have to deal with the Wal Mart clientele.

We shop at costco, heb, and kroger.

Haven't been to walmart in over 10 years and refuse to go back in one for anything.

We prefer the local meat market and farmers market when those items are needed.

Most of the time I go to Randalls. It's much more sedate and peaceful than the HEB and Kroger in my neighborhood. I'll spend a few extra dollars to avoid being rammed by an impatient soccer mom's shopping cart. I try to avoid Wal-Mart at all costs, but sometimes the convenience outweighs the negatives. It's like everyone checks in their civility at the door when entering a Wal-Mart. They should just rope off every Wal-Mart inside a giant octagon.
