You need to check out the Woodlands ...diversity, class and progressive thinking individuals. Great shopping, schools and safe....you really can't go wrong. Good inventory in established neighborhoods ... $325 (+ ) range. Decent driving distance to IAH. Worth a look...Happy Hunting!

Yes lots of families and lots of kids. I'm sure you can get plenty of arguments going over which neighborhood is the best. We bought in Oakhurst. I would suggest taking a trip down if you can and drive around to get a feel for it.

where exactly in Woodlands would you recommend ? We would like to to live in a nice, low key neighborhood. We don't like uptight and rich communities.

The great thing about The Woodlands is that it allows for people who are worth seven figures and people who make $30,000/year. I personally can't recommend a specific neighborhood within The Woodlands but I know there are a lot of options. I will say that most anything near Lake Woodlands will be "up there" in terms of housing prices and income levels.

Check out the neighborhood of Spring Trails. It is between the airport and The Woodlands.

Not much diversity. The Mexican Nationals are purchasing at a huge rate. So I guess it will become diverse. But they pretty much stick together.

Often overlooked Spring, Texas is a place to consider. It is across the creek (also county line) from The Woodlands.

NewFamily06...

Try... Village of Cochrans Crossing (VOCC), Panther Creek & Grogans Mill to name a few. In these neighborhoods you shouldn't be rubbing noses with snobs! Great homes in established areas with a bit more of a relaxed attitude. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of money in the Woodlands area....most are still decent people. The community is a diverse melting pot from all over the world. In short .... you should "fit in" with no issues. Moderator cut: advertising/soliciting for business not allowed per site TOS
