We found some property and thought it was a great deal but 4 Kinder Morgan pipelines run through the back of it and 2 gas lines run straight down the middle.

Should we run away fast and find another lot?

Ask if you can tap into a line for a fueling station.

I don't even want to know what the easement situation would be like.

Exactly what Pedro said. I'd look at the easements.

Is this the lot you were going to put your house on?

When we moved back to Houston, one of the things I told the real estate agent was that I did not want to be near a pipeline. She just busted out laughing, and informed me that was gonna be tough.

Most subdivision put their walking trails on the pipeline easement.

There is a KM pipeline running really close to Klein High school. They thought I was nuts for being concerned. Maybe it no longer is in service.

Get you some of those maps from Harris county and overlay the subsidence, faults and pipelines.

Happy hunting.

There is a difference between proximity and directly through the center of your lot.

If the odds of a pipeline blowing up scares you, I'm not sure how you make it to work and back on our freeways.
