Is there some great reason the police had to have the whole beltway going south closed down yesterday? Do they really need 15 police cars on scene after the guy is already dead?

Do you realize that you're either insulting someone or complaining about something in just about every one of your posts? Cheer up dude.

From a legal standpoint, there is a lot of investigative work to be done--especially in fatalities.

They should reimburse every EZ Tag/TX Tag user that used that stretch of Beltway 8 yesterday afternoon.

No, they shouldn't. Just because it's a toll facility doesn't mean you are guaranteed speedy travel. That only applies if the facility has managed pricing like the Katy toll lanes. Otherwise tolls are just paid for having the facility there at all, and its basic operations, including incident management.

You mat not have paid for guaranteed speedy travel, but you did pay for use of a toll road. If the road is closed, you're within your rights to demand a refund.

I wouldn't count on getting one, though.

Obviously you have way to much time on your hands to go back and look at people previous posts.

Well I'm not saying they have to do it or that they are evil for not doing it. I'm just saying it would be a great way to show some appreciation for the customers that had to suffer through hours of delay. I've seen them make the toll free for other reasons in the past and I think that a freeway shutdown is a good reason to give the customers a bit of a break.
