Hi all,

We are considering building a Westin home in Harmony, Spring, Texas. We love the Castlebrook floor plan and it fits within our budget. There is only one issue. It has an entertainment bar separating the kitchen and living room that is way to high. I'm only 5 foot and we have 3 children, that I need to be able to easily see playing in the living room. I can't easily see over the entertainment bar because it is as tall as me . Will they make the accommodation of lowering it or removing it all together?

I'm sure they are likely able to accommodate for a price. So why just not ask them?

I have... I'm just waiting on a response so I was just seeing if anyone had specific experience since there were a lot of threads related to Westin. Thank you!

I doubt they can shorten it. Those cabinets are pre ordered at that height I believe. They may be able to leave them out all together though. I think it changes the complete feel of the room to do that.. but that is a personal thought. That's a great floor plan. We are going with the Bellagio later this year when they open up down where we are. Did they give you a great incentive package?

I've always wondered, does Westin ever allow for a three car garage in the plans that come with 2 car standard?

I have seen a lot of Westin homes that have 3 car garages. So yes they do. However, it is really dictated by the community standards, there are some that do not allow 3 car garages from what I have been told. Also it depends on the lot size as well. It's about 9K to 10K to add the 3rd car garage, just an FYI.

We haven't signed the contract yet so haven't negotiated on incentives. We wanted to get all of our questions answered first. But that will come shortly pending it is a good fit! The Bellagio is beautiful as well!
