Hello,

Is there such a thing as a tour of the county for those who have relocated? Most of the tours one finds are for tourists targeting downtown, Galveston, and other touristy sites. Are there tours of the neighborhoods for folks new to the county? Anyone know of any?
We have been here for about 3 months now and sometimes, we just randomly drive around to different neighborhoods on the weekends. It would be much better if there were an actual tour service that would take you around. Or is this the domain of a realtor even though we are not home shopping?
Thanks!

There isn't too much of a demand for tours of the Houston suburbs.

If you ask for "fun things to do in Houston", you'll get a list of different activities for self guided tours.

Of course there have been such threads before.

A good place to start is here:

I think a tour of the neighborhoods and suburbs is exactly what the OP is looking for - not the fun things to do around Houston.

And honestly, with such a high relocation population in Houston, something like what the OP is talking about isn't such a bad idea.

Granted, I've been in Houston a long time now, but I think doing this yourself with a little bit of legwork on these forums or the internet can give you a good idea of where to go.

My boss and his wife moved to the woodlands. He told me that they would spend one of heir weekend days driving around the woodlands exploring. They'd turn into all the little nook and cranny retail areas etc just to see what was there as everything is obscured from the road.

Not sure of the purpose. Just look for houses? Places to live?
