Sienna Plantation - Missouri City. However, it is way too far from the Woodlands.

I live IN The Woodlands- zip 77382.

Our neighborhood is fairly diverse- true most POC are Hispanic/Latino or East Asian, but during Halloween, I would say that we saw a good number of kids of all races. (And the schools are excellent! Better than 77386, where we lived previously.) The only thing I see is that it is hard to find something in your price range, not impossible, but difficult.

You sure those kids you saw on Halloween were neighbors?

Check the neighborhoods that feed into Klein HS.

I can vouch that zip code 77382 is turning diverse. There's plenty of Asians and Hispanics that live here

Check out Spring, but not the portion zoned to Spring ISD. You want Klein ISD.

My job is relocating me to Texas specifically The Woodlands area 77380 zip. Basically I have no choice but to uproot my family and move. We love community events and have a good mixture of Black, White & Latino friends.

I WILL NOT send my little kids to a predominately White school because lets be honest they will be either picked on or have no friends. Ok maybe one friend. Not saying the kids are racist but as human beings we naturally gravitate towards our own kind because we have things in common. Personally I wish we could all just say F skin completion and just enjoy life, but we cannot.

We want to pay under $1700/mo for a 3BD townhome/condo (we can afford more but I hate throwing money down the drain). I'm not buying a house until I know the area. When I research this topic I see Missouri City, Riverside Terrace, Pearland, Sugar Land but that's too far from work. I have 3 kids in elementary school so an hour commute to work will not work. Can you recommend a diverse area maybe outside of The Woodlands? Preferably within 15 minutes.
We are an African-American family that lives in 77380. I have 2 kids that attend the local elementary school that we are zoned to here. I know that the school is mostly Caucasian, however, DD classmates are AA, Latino as well.

I am a native East Coaster that is concerned with making sure my children get to interact with all cultures. Something that I have done that has proven to be successful is in the summer time, I have my children attend the local Boys and Girls club or Y Day Camp in an area that is underserved (and also near to my job). This has proven to be very successful. My daughter (8yr old) has been 'tested' (being asked for items that I packed for her lunch) and she had enough sense to say 'No'. I cracked a smile when she told me this. My daughter actually told me she enjoyed her summer at the local Boys and Girls club and actually learned some cool dance moves. You might want to try this too.

77386 - You may want to try this zip too. Newer homes in this area. The local elementary schools are little more diverse from what I could see. Try Falls at Imperial Oaks or Imperial Oaks. There are plans to build a new YMCA (huge one) due to all the growth that has been going on in the area.

I know what you mean about having little friends at the school. DD is more of a social butterfly. DS is 5 yrs old in Kinder and to date he told me he only has one friend (tear). I am hopeful that this changes soon. Let me know if I could be any more help. Cool question and thanks for having the courage to ask.

My Fiance' gets his hair cut near Tidwell. This area is undoubtedly 'the hood' but they do the best job on his hair. I have 2 favorite beauty shops, 1 in Atasocita and one on 1960 (again, the hood). I am ok with making the trip as long as I look good lol.
