I am an out-of-towner but a concerned citizen. Just wonder out of so many Houston TV stations, which one has better coverage of this natural disaster?

None because the all-around coverage ended days ago, several days ago.

Thanks for posters above. Then which TV still has more coverage for Harvey related stories?

All the locals have gone back to regular programming. Probably best to just read about it now.

We are in, for the most part, the recovery and rebuilding phase. TV generally doesn't cover this in a 24/7 manner. For about 7-10 days after Harvey, when flooding was still a life-threatening danger, and people were being rescued, you saw 24/7 coverage. But at this point, regular news coverage can handle the recovery stage.

As to the past coverage, I usually watch 2-NBC, but felt their coverage was less than satisfactory. So I tried 13-ABC, and found it a refreshing change. Much better coverage, over more parts of town. With significantly better traffic & road updates. I also tried 11-CBS, and found it very lacking.

#1 was Channel 13 ABC
#2 was Channel 2 NBC
distant #3 was Channel 11 CBS

ABC13, or Channel 13 has by far the best coverage of the hurricane. What I liked about them is their reporter not only reports, most of them go beyond their job by helping Houstonians. I've seen some of them help people in need out of water, or out of rain. Ted Oberg is my favorite, his coverage was dramatic and was very helpful to people in need. Their meteorologists hit all the right mark, Tim Heller stayed up all night during the 1st night of emergency flooding and preached about the severity of the situation. His sidekick, I don't know his name, he accurately said their is an upper air movement that will reduce the rain amount for early Tuesday and beyond, which happened. The KHOU guy predicted that the tropical storm would be moving towards Louisiana when it was around Matagorda Bay, but ABC13 wins by a landslide because they know Houston.

NPR has had the best coverage. Listen Live – Houston Public Media and still do. They have had flood control engineers, insurance adjusters, relief volunteers, physicians, policemen, etc ... on the program.
