The TV networks don't cover Houston and Harvey much now that Irma has come and gone. What is the situation there? Are the flood waters all gone? Are the trash people picking up home belongings and residue in a timely manner? Are people still in shelters? It must be miserable there and I feel for the people who are starting over. I wonder if I had to rebuild would it be in the same place.

Apparently the wind damage from Irma was statewide compared to the flooding in Houston. That makes for more compelling pictures!

The reservoirs are still full and we just got the first post-Harvey rainstorm yesterday. According to the local news last night, there was minor flash street flooding.

I've never gone through something like that,
but keep in mind that a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck and now they take a hit like this and possibly without insurance to cover it.

Thankfully, lots of people and communities have come together to help them.

Everyday this week, KRTK (Channel 13) is going to go to different neighborhoods showing how they are recovering.
Here's yesterday video of their visit to Dickinson in SE Houston, that got about 52" of rain in 4 days
