Looks to me like the US and Iran are deescalating and hopefully the US stops doing Israel's bidding. We send way too much money over to them. This whole thing is basically a draw as the US is pulling out of Iraq which is what the general wanted anyway. All this WW3 stuff was being pushed by one side all over social media but that was never going to happen. Iran is not powerful enough, plus China and Russia aren't going to get into a war.

I don't see this effecting the Houston economy at all.
Unlike Trump, Iran has a professional bureaucracy who know how international law works and use diplomacy to one's benefit. They have been surprisingly quite restrained, only retaliating tit-for-tat. The Trump Administration has been treated as a pariah in the international community, mostly with its rogue actions on this and other issues (such as climate change). Iran has obviously been keeping up with domestic developments in the U.S., but it is a breach of protocol at this point to point out the correlation between the impeachment proceeding and the assassination.

Iran is right in calling him out as a "terrorist in a suit", or what we would call colloquially "Mafioso". Trump may not be Italian or Irish, but he learned from NY mobsters on how to fight on the tough streets of NYC. Extortion is a hallmark--remember the Ukrainian call? It's also hard to believe a liar after telling so many lies and half-truths.

Trump may make another impulsive decision to retaliate last night's base attacks with an attack in Iranian territory proper. Some have speculated that if Trump escalated the attacks, the Iranians might target Trump properties in the U.S. (for obvious reasons) for attack. Singling out Trump hotels and condos has been said to signify that Iran has nothing against the American people, just Trump and his administration. Right now, Americans obviously know that Trump instigated the whole drama.

Gas in Houston was $2.83/gal

That was in the heart of the Medical Center area, we paid it just to get on our way. IDK if gas usually runs that high there or if it was because of this Iran stuff?

Gas is always high there. I was just in Houston yesterday and paid 2.08 and 2.14 out in Katy/west side areas. Most gas stations in Houston for the past two weeks have been between 2.07-2.20. Looks like you got price gouged.

Yeah none of this is going to happen. Just political theater at this point. Iran is not going to hit any domestic US property and they'd have no backing from other countries anyway.
