That aside, Montgomery County is unusual in Texas (perhaps even at the national level) for being very dominated by a conservative / Republic electorate and staying that way even as it has become a high-population, fast-growing suburban county. Usually under those kind of growth conditions, suburban areas become more "purple." It may be that the county is attracting "political migrants" from the rest of the metro and from elsewhere, and the makeup of that political persuasion does tend to be more white.

I used to think that the concept of "political migrants" couldn't possibly alter the makeup of a large place like Montgomery County, but I'm wondering if that was a premature assumption.
I think I agree here. Montgomery county does seem to be benefiting from “political migrants.” Quite a few people I know moved there because it’s “not like Harris County.” Must be attracting conservatives from out of state as well. It’s wild to me how completely different Montgomery feels in comparison to Harris and Fort Bend.

Now that Beyoncé is making country music, I wonder if she will get a day as a country headliner
