Hello everyone,

I'll be in the area doing some training for about a month near the Space Center area of Houston. Looking for a hotel in a vibrant area. Hopefully it will be a walkable area with lots to do so I don't have to drive much when I'm around the hotel. I'd want to keep my daily commutes to/from the training facility to less than 20-25 minutes. Any suggestions?

Kemah Boardwalk is "vibrant" and has a lot of nightlife, but is too conservative for me (the nightlife).

Looks like a cool place, but yea, not feeling that conservative crowd.

I'm not sure what time your commutes would be so I can't adjust for traffic. But the Texas Medical Center is just under 30 minutes from the Space Center area. And that's the closest vibrant area (outside of conservative crowds like Kemah). Since you'd be doing an outward commute, the traffic wouldn't be as bad.

Also, Kemah Boardwalk during the day isn't all that conservative. Just the bar hopping areas are. But I'm assuming that's what you were looking for.

What does conservative nightlife look like compared to a liberal nightlife?

At the liberal nightlife is everyone looking for a handout?

Find out for yourself. Go bar hopping in the Kemah Boardwalk then do it in Midtown or Washington.
