...and they'll be telling us that grass is green, the sky is blue, bananas are yellow, you get the idea.

Summer's hot here in Kentucky, too. Oh, I'm strongly considering Houston for a move, so the long, hot Houston summers are just something I would get used to! I don't complain much during summer b/c, well, at least it's better than a Chicago winter.

yes but the babies will start crying and complaining daily. It is what it is - Houston heat and its home.

Exactly. When I was a kid back in the 60's, we had an increadible invention called an "attic fan", and no AC! We got along just fine and didn't CRY LIKE A BABY (like the media) about everything.

I remember in California, if it rained for more than 15 min. the news declared it "Stormwatch!"

only time I don't like the heat here is on the drive home from work, no AC in my car.
