Hello, I am still deciding between buying which neighborhood to buy in, I know the prices of houses are higher in Fall Creek, but Imprerial homes and slashing 50K off the list price with no closing costs, plus they are throwing upgrades such as granite in the master bath, sprinkler system, garage door opener, and nice appliances on a new house, I currently am putting an offer on a 3900 sq ft house on a lake with balcony, upgrades galore for 340,000 for a new house. I can't find anything comparable in fall creek or summerside. I would appreciate any feedback from peopre who have had expreriences with either of ths two subdivisions. Thanks.

Is there a difference in the High schools that they are zoned to? Is one area zoned to Humble High and the other to a different High School?

Fall Creek and Summerwood are zoned to Summercreek HS which should be built by 2010, current maps also show that Canyon Gates will be going to Summercreek, my kids are 2 and 7 months so I know there will be a lot of change by the time they start HS, my hope is that whole surrounding area develops into good character/low crime neighborhoods and likewise the schools will be solid, thats my hope anyways.

Canyon Gate is just that much closer to the Atascocita Landfill. Beware of odors when the wind is from the north.

I think the resale is not so great there. I noticed 5 forclosures currently as well. Canyon Gates has some nice homes though. Just stay away from Canyon Village at Park Lakes. I heard that the quality is very poor with those, but I don't recall which builder. Stay in the Gated portion.
