Since moving to Houston I have been unable to find raw dog bones - have tried at places like Kroger and Heberts Meats and Petco etc - but everywhere seems to get their meat in prepacked.

In Australia we could buy bones and pet minces and dog roll at grocery stores and butchers and pet stores.

I'm sure they must be out there somewhere, but where???

There are some raw feeders' stores in Houston. Check out this link for Raw Advantage locations: Raw Advantage Pet Food (http://www.rawadvantagepetfood.com/Default.aspx?tabid=20182 - broken link)

Also check out Bones-2-Go on the NW side of town http://www.bones2go.com/

Sometimes the best deals on dog bones and raw meat can be found at your local HEB. Go to the meat section and look at the manager's specials.

most pet stores just sell pre-packaged small bones. but even in my small town I can go to a butcher shop and buy a large bone for my bros. dogs. Usually will sell it for next to nothing as it will be thrown away. Just call ahead of time.

Go to Bones 2 Go on Tidwell (west of Bingle Rd.) They have all the BARF diet foods, and lots of raw bones! Central Market will sell their lamb shank bones in the early morning. Get there before they toss them.
