my husband and I are moving to Houston fairly soon. he works for lincoln electric and we decided to transfer to the office there (770 Bradfield Suite 585 Houston, TX 77060) which is NE of the city.
We are looking for a nice apartment complex with a decent commute (1/2 hour max) somewhere safe, friendly, young (we are 23 and 25 newlyweds ) anyone have any advice.....we have never been to houston.

Spring would be the nicest area close to this location.

I would also suggest the Fall Creek area.
You might want to consider a reverse commute from downtown/Montrose area where alot of young people live. I did it for years up to Greenspoint.

Thanks both of you for the advice!! I'm looking into the Spring and Fall Creek area but I guess i'll have to get down there to see what exact areas or apartments are nice/safe. I've been doing lots of research but its hard to tell from rent.com, apartments.com, ya know?

Anyone else have further advice I would most appreciate it

Fall creek has at least 3 new apartments being built at the front of the subdivision, right on Beltway 8. 2 of them are finished (I think). I am not sure of what they cost, but they are very nice looking. At least one of them have garages for your car.

I can't remember the name of them right now...but like I said, they are on Fall Creek land. Very very easy access to the Beltway and 59.
