I'm looking at relocating to the Houston area from Seattle and wondering if there is anywhere to waterski and wakeboard?? I've seen a lot of teensy lakes within MP communities that don't allow motor boats. Where do people go?

Clear Lake and Taylor Lake in our area. They run into one another. Most of our friends come from Houston to use these two lakes. Direct outlet to Galveston Bay as well.

Lake Houston or Lake Conroe or there is always the ocean.

Ummmm...you really don't want to ski/wake board in Galveston Bay. You will see very few people out there doing so ( if any). Too choppy most times and not very safe visible wise. Boating is great tho!
Stick to to the lakes for skiing/tubing and wake boarding.

If you are on Clear Lake trying to ski you might want to watch out. Powerboats do not like ski boats and ski boats especially hate the rooster tails from powerboats.. Taylor lake is a good place to ski as the water in some areas is not deep enough for us powerboaters to get in except for around the houses. Just be careful where ever you are on any of the lakes..
