Ruins the exterior of the car. Then you have to wash the car.
Fort Bend has less of this?

Huge sections of Cinco Ranch, 7 Meadows, Grand Lakes and similar MPC's are in the Fort Bend Cty part of Katy. I would hardly call those "farm girl Katy". Not really super chic Katy either. Suburban to the max.

Good point. I should add to that I think the original old central core of Katy (before all the suburban subdivisions creeping in like man-eating plant vines swallowed it up) of good-ole-boys in pickup trucks with kids in 4-H bringing their calf to the Livestock Show and Rodeo each year, is also in Harris County but certainly not urban chic.

Like the whole Houston-Galveston area, things tend to be all mixed up!

Your more likely to find more trees in huge parking lots in Fort Bend, than Harris county.

Yes, I think so. It has to do with county building codes.

That's just something we don't agree on then. I hate a big, ugly parking lot with nothing but concrete as far as the eye can see. Especially when there's no shrubbery or trees between it and the road... I will pay extra to not have to look at that ugliness. As far as bird poop... just don't park directly under the tree if you can help it. I don't have many problems with it in my personal experience.

Why is Katy half Harris and half Fort Bend?
It's the Katy AREA. South Katy in Ft Bend is not legally Katy. The area Spans from Greenhouse West To Katy Proper. And Covers both sided of I-10. There are no specific benefits to say. You werent know when you left Harris into Ft Bend going south on Mason for example if it weren't for the signs. One difference may be the tax base. Check 'em out.

Which part is not legally Katy? What about North Fry Road from I-10?
