1st home:
Harris Elem
Rogers Middle
Miller JH
Dawson HS

2nd home:
Silverlake Elem
Sablatura Middle
Pearland JH -west
Pearland HS

I don't have kids in school, but Dawson is AWESOME! Brand new, looks like a new Juco campus.

Just sayin'...

My son is currently in 5th Grade at Sablatura - previously was at Cockrell Elementary. He is the GT programme and I am really pleased with the teachers and his progress. They run a tight ship and keep the kids in line. There is a good variety of school clubs and the teachers are very friendly and approachable. The only thing my son doesn't like is that there is no art programme but he has chosen it as his first choice elective next year so fingers crossed.

Both of my kids attend Harris Elementary, and it's a great school. Quality teachers and administrators.

Just so you know, all kids that graduate from Silverlake as of now, will go to Dawson if they stay at the same address. Dawson just opened up there new campus in August. We have been a part of this district since 1998. We have children at Silverlake, Berry Miller and Dawson and we had one at Rogers. We have been very happy with Silverlake and Dawson and pretty pleased with Rogers and Miller. Both are fairly new campuses and I think that age is a difficult one for kids and teachers. I would stick with the 2nd home and enjoy the new campus of Dawson!

Good information for those looking into the area.

Interestingly enough on that school ranking list someone posted - Pearland didn't do so hot. It was like 265 whereas Friendswood and Clear Lake both were ranked much better.

That is true but many of the Pearland schools are to new to be included in the ratings. This is true for Dawson and Berry Miller at least and maybe others too. The first graduating class ever is coming from Dawson this year: and my daughter is a part of it!
