About 10 years ago, I lived in that area, and there seemed to be quite a few call centers...one did market research surveys, one, the name I can't recall right now, had a sister branch in Ashland and maybe (?) had something to do with political fundraising, and an Amazon.com call center was being built on 64....which one of these still exist there/are open and which ones have I left out....curious......
Amazon is still here in Huntington and is actually undergoing an expansion to move into a new building and add more positions. Direct TV has been here for the last few years and is also moving into a new building with more positions expected. Sitel still has one office here but used to have 2. GC Services still has 2 locations here though and InfoCision is also still here. That's all I know off the top of my head. Hope this helps.
what about that market research place downtown....do you remember that?....it is so hard to get a job these days, I thought I'd see if that still exists as a back-up plan....
You mean Hilliard-Lyons? It's still there. They actually moved into the building attached to the Pullman Plaza and have a little more visibility. A new place called Huntington Wealth Advisors also opened up across the street and there's also RBC Wealth Management as well.
I think the market research place was called Civic Development. If it's the place I'm thinking of, it closed down and there's a Chinese resturant there.
No. When you said market research, the first thing that came to mind for me was stock market. No sure why. The businesses in that last post are investment advisors. I think I listed just about all of the call centers in town in my first post. There aren't any others that I can think of in Huntington anyway.
