Hey guys,

Well I must say when I went to the first one back in 2010 I really enjoyed myself, but being on the cusp of first time home ownership I am even more excited.

If you go to the link there is a short survey to save $1 on admission, normally $6 for adults.

But to be honest, this is basically a BIG advertisement and we really should have to PAY to get in. Am I wrong?

It's like having to watch a commercial before a trailer online sometimes, I mean a trailer IS a commercial.
Anyway looking forward to it.

Hey - I am on the cusp of first time (technically) homeownership too ...

I'll be crowding the tornado shelter, garage flooring and organization and possibly the patio/pergola displays.

I am gonna reinforce a room in my house for the shelter.
I am a mechanic so I have LOTS of garage storage already.

I looked at Home Depot and they have a rocking Pergola display at the Lawson Ridge location, price was great too.

Where are you buying in the near future?

Oh, haha Right!

I live in Mountain Brook now, lived in Edgewater Proper when I was a kid. We are buying a house in Madison in or around Research Park. Gonna do a fixer upper.

Live in Mountain Brook right now too ... moving south to The Reserve.
We're gonna miss the neighborhood ... but time to sink our roots.

I use Houzz when we were selecting our options/upgrades/designs.
Not too handy ... I would rather focus my time on the backyard ...that way, the worse I can do is kill a plant.

Wife wants a pergola ... and (needs) a storm shelter. Tried looking at reinforcing an existing room ... but the builder does not offer that option. Plus, everyone says to go underground ...
