Thanks for setting this up, Becky! I hope LF voices will be heard!

This is how it'll be when Zierdt eventually opens, no light at Mountain Brook either - imagine the quagmire that will be for them?
There is a traffic signal at Mountain Brook and it's been there for years. They have two entrances, and only one has a light, but that's all they need.

BTW ... I saw some updated information on Zierdt Road completion (including the new interchange west of the current intersection) and it's going to be a while before it's done. I can't remember the specifics but I can look it up if you're interested. Suffice to say that it's frustratingly slow ... basically nothing has been done for a year now.

Becky, congrats on spearheading the effort to get the signal on Martin Rd. I rarely go that way but I can see the need. Now all they need to do is pave the road since it's so rough (its condition is the reason I don't use Martin unless I'm forced to).

I remember several years ago that the City of Madison was just going to leave Zierdt Rd as it was, all full of potholes and a total mess to drive on, because it was due to be replaced in short order. Well ... they finally got around to paving it ... and project completion is still several years off. It's a darn good thing they paved it ... otherwise we'd need off-road 4-wheel drive vehicles to go anywhere.

I suspect the Martin Rd project will be the same, so why not go ahead and make it relatively smooth while they're diddling around?

Thanks Kathy for responding and getting us a signal light installed at the main entrance to the Lake Forest Community. This will make exiting our community a lot safer in the mornings.
