I keep hearing about a move of govt. jobs to Huntsville in a couple of years. What is that all about?

Are there any private sector jobs in high tech or manufacturing in the area?

Most important, are there any good places to mountain bike?

Yes, many jobs both in the private and public sector. The government jobs are connected with the latest BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) which is bringing jobs from the DC area. Also much private sector high tech work is also going on in the area. Should be plenty of places to mountain bike, but since it is not my thing, I will leave it to others to expound.

I work as a Production Planner (Master Scheduler) with an Electronics company -the product is PCB based. I am also a certified Accountant, and did that for 15 years before jumping the fence over to operations.

I can't say for sure since I am not an HR person, but I would bet that with your background you would be very much in demand in Huntsville.
