We'll be getting a puppy once we get settled, and I'm hoping someone can recommend a great vet in the area, and maybe give us an idea of general pricing (vaccinations, neuter, general well-animal visits...)?

(We're coming from NYC where a simple office visit can run to $80, my Vermont-farmer sister's vet cost $15 a visit... you get the idea- there's a huge spectrum!)

Thanks so much.

We use Dr. Nall on Wall Triana Hwy. and love her. These are our first puppies, so I can't compare her to other vets. The cost varies depending on what shots they receive at that visit. I believe the first series cost about $50.00.

Dr. Jan Strother, she is the best. She's in Hartselle, but for us, with 2 big breed dogs, its worth the trip, we feel they get top notch care.

Cornerstone Animal Hospital on Slaughter Rd in Madison. Best Vet in town, and he has great prices!!! I have been through several vets here in Huntsville (3 dogs, Great Dane, English Bulldog, and a Chiuahuah) and he is by far the best.

He is open on Saturday Morning too I believe.
