Decatur and area jobs
I keep trying to look for jobs, online. Here, we can access the employment office online and search for jobs. Can you do that for Decatur and surrounding area?
Also, I know in the past someone gave a link for houses, like Valley Pro or something, but I can't find that anymore.
Thanks

Tuesday is a big day for posting new listings
Very, very little hiring going on right now. There have been some layoffs, but not many...yet.

I would search for jobs in both Decatur and Huntsville, as you can live in one and work in the other..the commute is not bad. You will probably find more available jobs in the Huntsville area, but that will depend on what you are looking for. Companies are laying off, but again, it all depends on what field you are in. One of my clients is a nurse and she has had her choice of jobs. I also have a client who is an engineer and he had 8 offers and basically had the companies outbidding each other salarywise.
Also try Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com. Also, Manpower and Kelly Services often hire for the larger companies. Boeing uses them, as does Lockheed Martin.
www.valleymls.com is the public MLS site. It also feeds into Realtor.com, so you can also search there. You will basically get the same home listings whichever site you search.

Thanks guys. For us to get there, my husband would transfer, but my son would need to find a new job. He is a Security Officer here. I hope he can find work there! That's always a worry and in this economy especially.
