But would this testing occur at night like the original poster describes?

By the way, I purchased earthquake insurance; it's pretty cheap in Alabama.

Somebody could tell you.........but then they'd have to kill you.

Regular tremors from the direction of NASA/Redstone have been common since the 1950s.
I remember the rocket testings in the 60s.. it did feel like an earthquake. You couldn't hear it either.

Thanks for all the responses. I work on the NASA side of the Arsenal so I only notice a few of the big booms at work. Now that i think about it the testing does happen more towards the SE side. I guess I just need to get used to it, small price to pay for all the good things here in Huntsville .

Heard another boom last night after work, from the same direction (towards the arsenal). They must be testing something.

Well... RNC... if I tell ya...

I think these earthquake 'tremors' mostly come from the appalachian mountains, so us "flat landers" feel less of it

I didn't feel anything this time...just heard a decent boom. I know a couple people that live off Zierdt who've had pictures knocked off their wall though because of explosions on the arsenal. There was a really good one last summer I think when a rocket motor exploded during a bake out test. It was heard 2 counties away.

But did you buy sink_hole insurance and sewer back-up insurance? The probability of these occurring is probably higher than earthquake damage.

Right on. Post of the month.
(Reminds me of other bumper stickers in the 1970s: Gas, Grass, or Ass: Nobody Rides for Free.)
