I have seen dump trucks on Eastern Bypass between Old 431 (Cove Park) and the construction area where they are widening Eastern Bypass south of McMullin Cove. I wonder if they are just dumping stuff behind the soccer fields there??? Are they pulling into the parking lot or just heading down Old 431??? For months there has been a construction type trailer in the northern parking lot of Cove Park. Doesn't look like it is being used. Maybe it is part of what you are seeing??? Not sure.

We were there Saturday and it looks like they have built up an area behind the fields close to the golf course. There were wood stakes all around which made me think they were about to build something.

They dug a sewage line and ran power to that trailer so they must be planning some sort of building project. There is nothing on the Cove Park web site about it.

I think they are working under some project like renovating the park. As tkmontg can see lot of wood there so it can be making some new furniture's for the park.

They are building a new parking lot and trail off County Hwy 28 south of the fields. Is this the construction you are talking about?

Good to hear. I have been very happy with the quality of coaching at the Huntsville Eastern League at Cove Park for the Hampton Cove kids. I used to coach but realized I didn't have the patience. The experience I've had with the soccer and basketball coaches there for my kids has been great. Bunch of really great guys and women.
