I own a '11 Kia Optima EX 2.4 GDI. Same car as the Sonato underneath. If I had the funds, I would have opted for the 2.0 Turbo that pumps out 274HP and the same MPG as the 2.4.

So my vote is to get the Sonata Limited with the 2.0T. I know this puts the price close to $30k. You can get the SE in the 2.0T that starts at $25k. Drive both engines and decide, but the 74HP and 100lb-ft torque would be nice to have.

Drive them and decide. I have a '11 Sonata Turbo and am very happy with it and Hyundai service.

I did the same comparison last Spring and included (and bought) a 2011 Malibu 2LT. They'll get about 30 mpg and last about 200k miles if you take care of them.

Honda has higher resale value and Sonata has a better warranty.

The Honda is also uglier and bland. Meanwhile, the Hyundai offers a 2.0T turbo V6 that can get 34 mpg.
