The game this weekend will tell alot. BSU is obviously favored over Oregon State, and that will probably be the case. However, the margin of victory becomes more important here due to BSU's fragile position. A close win will hurt BSU, like it or not. A loss at home would be devastating and the national argument will be over. Not likely, however. But that is what makes college football fun...the unknowns, and the possibility of upsets. I like BSU in this game, but...
This season is becoming quite interesting for BSU. Suddenly wins don't seem to be enough. The win over OSU was great, but some are questioning the "quality" of the win. Silly BCS world, huh?
For BSU to have a real shot, they must win convincingly over every remaining opponet. Sorry, just the reality. The national TV audience and gameday was great, but I'm not sure it will be enough. We are dealing with a deep-seeded culture in the Big12, and SEC, and those hurdles may be tougher than any game opponet we face this year. I'm all for being positive, but reality must be factored in. Still a lot of games to go.
I don't really see them getting to the NC, and am not so sure they should. I acknowledge they do all they can. But is Alabama goes undefeated, there just isn't any way BSU could go ahead of them. I could see them maybe going ahead of Ohio State, because I think the whole Big 10 is pretty overrated. But an undefeated SEC would definately go, and if OSU stays undefeated fair or not will definately get the nod ahead of BSU. Even though the Big 10 is overrated, it is still way stronger than the WAC.
Because they play teams like Louisiana Tech most of the year. Just like tonight. On that stupid, ugly BLUE field. That thing is an abomination.
