America welcoming 79 new citizens during special ceremony in Boise
The new Americans were welcomed at the Federal courthouse, cheered on by family, friends, and supporters.

Quote:
Thursday afternoon marked the realization of an American dream. 79 people who call Idaho home are now officially citizens of the United States. These new Americans come from across the globe: Japan, Ukraine, France, Italy; all waiting to clear the final step, hearing their name and country of origin during a special citizenship ceremony.

Yeah things are going to get rather difficult in the coming year+. Most people are on edge with either newcomers or anyone around that doesn't fit into the existing way of life. This is just tip of the iceberg to come. It will be all over the country no doubt.

It will be very interesting to see the outcome of this as certain groups attract unwanted attention of other groups. It is like people do things just to get attention and have specific intent to get a rise out of others in spite of things.

A good point.
I can see where another group could say "Those guys failed, but we won't." I hope that doesn't happen.

MICRON TO BUILD $15 BILLION MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN BOISE

https://apnews.com/article/technolog...55?adlt=strict

Quote:
Micron will invest $15 billion though the end of the decade on a new semiconductor plant in its hometown that the chipmaker said will create 17,000 American jobs.
Sanjay Mehrotra, president and CEO of Boise, Idaho-based Micron, said his company’s investment was made possible by last month’s passage of the CHIPS and Science ACT of 2022, a $280 billion bill aimed at bolstering U.S. competitiveness against China and avoiding another chip shortage like the one that derailed the auto and tech industries during the pandemic.

White House calls Idaho abortion laws ‘extreme and backwards’ in response to university memo
Press secretary says situation speaks to unacceptable consequences of abortion bans

Quote:
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a statement Tuesday calling Idaho’s abortion laws “extreme and backwards” in response to a memo issued by the University of Idaho cautioning employees not to provide reproductive health counseling to students, including abortion, or risk losing their jobs or face criminal prosecution.

“To be clear, nothing under Idaho law justifies the university’s decision to deny students access to contraception. But the situation in Idaho speaks to the unacceptable consequences of extreme abortion bans,” Jean-Pierre said in the statement. “The overwhelming majority of Americans believe in the right to birth control, as well as the right to abortion, without government interference.”
