I may have a job opportunity in Spokane but would rather live in Idaho, specifically Couer d'Alene or other towns close by.

It's very common. More people I know who work in Spokane or Spokane Valley live in Post Falls, but I do know several who live in CDA and make the drive as well.

I did the Post Falls to Spokane thing for about a month, decided I had enough, and decided that becoming an Idahoan wouldn't have been a good idea for me considering the circumstance.

But yes, plenty of people do it.

Lots of people do it. I have seen several trade in their gas guzzlers for something more efficient to make the drive after a couple of months though. Others go to a park & ride and then take public transit from there to cut costs.
