If it has to be done, Idaho will do a better job than other states.

If you read closely:

"Projections show the center will likely receive 300 refugees from around the world during the upcoming federal fiscal year. That’s the same number as this year."

300 refugees per year really isn't even a ripple in the population pool, even in a small-population state like Idaho.

Never said I was and don't think I am. You're trying to read something into my post that isn't there or implied. I'm just glad that some other state than mine is getting new people. We've gotten enough over that last decade or so. We're full up with immigrants here and our resources are stretched very thin. Time to spread it around. My town is almost 70% immigrant and I have no problem with it, but we don't have enough services (or water) to go around as it is. So if Idaho can do a better job than other states, I'm ok with that. It isn't a contest. We do the best we can for the immigrants here, but we have millions and you have maybe thousands?

The real question is WHY? What particular skills or abilities to these people have that make them a benefit to have in the United States? Let alone Idaho? Any business owners that are bringing their businesses with them? Doctors or nurses? Any skilled trades we are short of?

Probably no skills or abilities; but you never know, However the same can be asked about all the illegals coming across the northern and southern border as well as through the sea ports. But if you question you will be labeled a racist by certain posters. And if you retire here, you are also labeled as being selfish.

Quite true. The difference, such that it is, is that the ones that cross the border criminally are just that, criminals. Whereas it sounds as if we're going to quite some trouble (and probably taxpayer expense) to import this bunch.
