My husband and I are planning to move to Idaho (Boise or surrounding areas) this summer. I need to find a good Real Estate Agent. Can anyone recommend one? The last realtor we used to buy a house saw what price we qualified for and hardly ever showed us houses 20K under our price range. We want someone who is willing to find the best house for the least amount of $$$. Someone who is honest and straightforward is great. We want honest information regarding crime rates, local laws and so on. Also knowledgeable in water rights and mountainous areas.

Thanks for your help!

When you say mountainous areas what exactly are you looking for? Boise has mountains in the surrounding areas but not in the city itself. What is your price range? You could be set up in MLS with whatever specifications you'd like. I'd be happy to help. Tell me more of what you're looking for and where.

Well, we are open at this point. We could be happy with a house in a suburb, but we would also be thrilled to live around highway 21 near Idaho City. But we wouldn't mind something more on the "plains". Something with acreage is preferable. (1-5 acres) We've noticed that there aren't that many houses in our price range that aren't manufactured homes. We have an aversion to manufactured houses mostly due to the look. Something with a basement would also great. 3+ bedrooms, 2+ bathrooms

Here's a detailed report on crime in Canyon County. Caldwell falls under this jurisdition. Give this link a minute to
download then scroll to page 135. That should give you an idea of the crime.

Give me a few minutes to search around on MLS for you then I'll send you a separate email with info.
