It was 38 degrees yesterday morning when I woke up and having slept with the windows open I was very pleased to be under a pile of Hudson Bay blankets and quilts. Though it was a gorgeous day...sunny with a light breeze and it stayed in the high 60's-low 70's. Perfect weather.
43 this morning with a chilly rain. Is summer late this year or what? I have lights and heat on in the greenhouse still...because I WILL have peppers and tomatoes this year, darnit.
Bring on summer!
(of course I say this every year when I know full well that summer doesn't reliably start till after July 4th)

I will be returning from Enterprise over a road that goes through Hells Canyon and is supposed to drop me out at Midvale..
I sure hope that road is passable.

WE were on that road in a car before. I think it drops you off in Cambridge 9 miles up from Midvale. Gonna be mad if you do not stop by now.

Have fun it is pouring down rain here right now. Hehehehe

This is the coldest spring I've seen in over 25 years. I went through one like this in Montana in 2002- it was cold as hell all of June, and snowed on June 28th there. It warmed up briefly in July and August, and September was early winter again.
I sure hope this year isn't like that one was in Montana! I hope it heats up real soon and stays hot for a while! A long mild fall would be very nice.

Made it 800 miles and saw sights I never thought I would.
Never even auggered in on my bike. 600 miles on dirt trails and 200 miles of pavement on the way home.
