The Immigration Debate: Reform With Compassion (http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/local_news/the-immigration-debate%3A-reform-with-compassion - broken link)
If we enforce our borders more, there will be even more deaths as the criminals trespassers become even more desperate. We can't have it both ways. How about the Church do what's right and stop encouraging people to come here illegally.
How about we start to tax these Churches and use that money to repay the tax payers what's being ripped off by Illegals and their anchors?
Good Idea! churches should not be involved in politics! These churches need to do
misionary work and help these poor people in their place of origin. They need to cry out at the goverments in the poverty ridden countries.
fight for those human rights, since these poor people can't do it for themselfs except here.
" the Southern Baptists – says we need to show some more compassion in the immigration debate "
There is NO DEBATE, ILLEGAL is still ILLEGAL !
The people that made a choice to come into The United States
of America ILLEGAL have to be held accountable for their
actions along with the people hiding behind a church for
supporting ILLEGAL activities
Seperation of church and state. That means if a Church wants to keep its tax free status they need to stay out of politics. I am sick of churches sticking their noses in politics.
How many of these Southern Baptist churches turned a blind eye to strange fruit? Now all of a sudden we need to be compassionate? How many of these churches turned a blind eye to spousal abuse in the past?
The bottom line is they are free to preach inside their halls. We don't need their help passing laws.

Agree 101%.
Including Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
