With over half of Mexican girls here having babies before age 20, and many of them having 3 or 4 by then and virtually all living on welfare, WIC, food stamps, it's obvious where it's going. At some point the welfare dependents will outnumber the working population and the welfare system will crash.
However unlike the sending nations, we will not have a safety valve nation that will lure them in to take them off our hands.

...and the blame is deservedly placed. We endure the Government we elect, enable, and repeatedly allow, to stab us in the back.
The problems of our southern neighbors will NEVER be solved by rewarding illegal immigration, or enabling legal immigration, of millions of mostly undereducated.
The ignored and apparently unpalatable truth: In the same way America demanded, fought, and sacrificed for it's Liberty--- so MUST illegals confront and demand dignity, liberty, and opportunity of their own corrupt and inept governances.
THEN might they earn the respect, and support, needed to reverse the contemptable mismanagement of their homelands, and transform their naturally gifted countries (ocean resources, oil, timber, labor force, agriculture, precious metals, archeological treasures, minerals, natural gas, tourism); for the enduring benefit of the citizens.
To break and enter, or to demand citizenship of their neighbor is no solution, but only a tactic worthy of contempt.
We can, and should, maintain and utilize a temporary Work Visa program for workers.
Wholesale Amnesty for scofflaws should never be offered up. The bestowance of cherished citizenship in exchange for bribed votes and cheap labor is....treasonous.

The real question is how long will the American people
accept the Governments inability to resolve this issue
As long as the murders, rapes, kidnappings, ID theft, and credit fraud is happening to everyone EXCEPT our elected local/state/federal officials, their family members, and close friends -- ILLEGAL ENTRY into he U.S.A. is officially NOT A PROBLEM.

One way or another, there will be a back lash to all of this. The US Government will jump ship and leave it to the people to clean up.

My problem is choosing the lesser of the 2 evils in that scenario! They are both pretty bad choices

Is the percentage of hispanics higher than 50 years ago?
I don't really think it is, if any group seems to be growing it is Mormons, are you alarmed about them?
