Sgt. Juan Alvarez with the University of Arizona Police Department said that officers responded when a group of students gathered in front of the memorial protesting and writing in chalk on the sidewalk. Alvarez said that the investigating officers determined that the students were exercising their First Amendment rights
That doesn't mean destroy public property

When KGUN9 News asked whether the students would be cited for criminal damage and disturbing an educational institution, officer Jose Bermudez said that the University of Arizona's Dean of Students asked police to maintain the peace at the protest but did not ask them to charge the students.
Why would any students regardless of their ethnic makeup object to a memorial for a fallen Border Patrol agent? I am totally at a loss for words here. Could you provide a link to this story? Thanks.
What a sad commentary. I suppose next they’ll start desecrating the graves of fallen agents. They should be ashamed of themselves. They clearly have much hatred in their hearts to deface a memorial. I can only imagine how the families of the deceased must feel.
The fact is - to the illegals, those who kill our border agents are heros. Their side sees the border agents, all our immigration laws as the enemy they need to destroy.

Usually a "fact" is provable information...careful.
Why would they take the memorial down just because these students did this? If they were truly just writing on the sidewalk with chalk, and not committing a chargable crime, then why take it down? Doesn't "sound" like that big of a deal.
Many people were against the Vietnam war yet we still have a memorial honoring those that fought. Would we remove it if people started writing in chalk on the sidewalk in front of it?
Something very sick and very wrong is going on in this country. It needs to be stopped before it is too late.

Anarchists who wish to destroy or takeover our country are being given carte blanche to do what they want all in the name of PC. You're right, there is something very sick and wrong going on in this country.
