There have been border patrol agents killed and so far - no big outrage over it. Not much control over the border right now - the cartels still believe the border is theirs. They're already killing our law enforcement.
A suspected drug smuggler from Mexico accused of killing a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Imperial County pleaded not guilty Friday in San Diego to second-degree murder and other charges.
Jesus Navarro Montes is accused of running over 32-year-old Border Agent Agent Luis Aguilar in a Hummer H2 on Jan. 19, 2008, in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area.
An indictment further alleges that Navarro Montes conspired to distribute marijuana until the day Aguilar -- a father of two -- was killed.
Boy ae you correct. But shouldn't there be outrage when one of our border patrol agents are killed! Amazing that yet so far, nothing has been done about this issue, and if we don't get hold of this mess now, we may end up losing this battle.
The drug was has officially been on this side of the border for alot longer than just recently. January 1996, a Border Patrol agent was shot and killed in Eagle Pass, Texas by an illegal smuggling marijuana across the river, so you see this is nothing new. The only new thing is the amount of violence we hear about in the news.

Absolutely there should be an outrage, but instead what our country does is worry about the illegal and his or her rights. The media breaks the story and all the human rights activists crawl out of the woodwork talking about how these people are just trying to provide for their family but noone ever stops to think about the Border Patrol agent trying to provide for his family and what this loss has done to his loved ones.
If any good can possibly come from this, it will be an awakening of the public as to what is really going on. We can hope their deaths will not be entirely in vain.

Yes. No matter how much the media tries to downplay or fail to report the problem. Border patrol agents have been killed and their lives are at risk. It's terrible that some are put right on the border with little protection and face having thugs try to kill them with rocks.

What's worse is that the agent's have to worry about being sued or losing their jobs if they try and protect themselves. After that fiasco in El Paso where the agent shot and killed the teenager that was throwing rocks at them and then the media crawls all over it and you get all the bleeding hearts crying about a child being killed. Give me a break a teenager can kill just as easy as an adult.
Hi folks,
I'm considering going across the border at Eagle Pass, Texas sometime in the next 6 months for an elective surgery. Is it worth the 1/4th price difference to go to Mexico, or do you think I'd be in any danger by trying out this option?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
