Anyone can see that illegals with "undocumented" income will grab up all the scholarships and financial aid. An illegal parent can easily claim to have earned only $5000 a year, which will move their child to the very front of the financial aid lines. That's exactly what the illegals want.

I don't blame the "legal's" a bit. Maryland would
become a sanctuary state if such a thing were
possible. They are one of the few state's left that
give an illegal a DL with little or no id.

Where the hell is the ACLU on this one ????

They are NOT on the Americans' and LEGAL residents' side.

It's long overdue. I was wondering how long it would take those who have done things the right way to speak up and out.

The illegal alien rights table is turning and not a minute too soon.

Every legal immigrant and foreign student should oppose this. It's a slap in the face for them to have played by the rules, as well as required to pay the higher foreign student rates, while illegals are rewarded for violating our laws.

Unfortunately, until a couple of years ago, illegal aliens were issued driver's licenses in Maryland, so I'm sure thousands also registered to vote. Of course, the illegal alien advocacy group, Casa de Illegal is fighting the referendum tooth and nail. But, unless voter fraud is involved, this BS MD Dream Act will not survive. I don't know one Marylander who supports it. In fact, even the most liberal residents are outraged at the mere notion of rewarding illegal aliens with tax-funded in-state tuition.

I came here legally and I'm also against the Dream Act...some legal aliens have no chance of getting a green card like E2 visa holders...so with the Dream Act they just have to overstay their visa and join them...sound bizar and crazy..., just give legal aliens more chances and a quicker path but not for illegals, they should leave and apply just as legals have done.
