Now that the Repubs lost, they will not hold the ground one of this country's biggest travesties. The politicians will look what happened to the repub party in Calif and act to maintain power by enacting "paths to citizenship". I am progressive in all other respects, but why should people who crossed the borders illegally be given citizenship when others have to apply and WAIt? Some feel that illegals would then have to pay taxes and contribute, but given the way our tax system is so broken, it wouldn't be surprising if more of them would actually get refunds due to low income and multiple kids that they claim while the rest of us "keep on payin". Then what happens when they retire and qualify for Social Security and Medicare benefits, SSI and Medicare Savings programs (medicaid)? I worry for this country.

Can't wait to see you figure out how to find and throw out millions of illegals. That oughta be fun.

Me, I know it's impossible, so I'd rather have them all on the tax rolls paying into the system. Common sense: Not as much fun as bigotry, but far more practical.

Okay, wjtwet and wehotex, we all live in Texas. Obviously, immigration issue isn't as big of an issue to me.

Why haven't you voted out Perry yet? He's so pro illegal (as are most Republicans that are in business).

LOL- I've voted against Perry every opportunity that I get! There are too many hardcore repubs in this state to make a dent in their power structure.

And now that he's not running for president anymore, for Pete's sake, he can hire them again.

Even if the repubs cave in to illegals demands, even bypassing amnesty and make 11 million illegals automatically citizens with the right to vote, are there people foolish to think that any of them would vote for repubs? They only way that would happen is if the repubs give away more stuff than the Santa Clause party.
