MEXICO CITY – Mexico’s left-wing Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) called on U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration to halt raids and deportations while an immigration overhaul plan that would provide a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented migrants “is debated and approved.”

He added that of the “11 million officially recognized as undocumented, at least 7 million are of Mexican origin.”

The PRD chairman said an overhaul should promote the basic principal of family unity, while strengthening the U.S. workforce and helping integrate immigrants into U.S. society.
Latin American Herald Tribune - Mexican Left Calls on U.S. to Halt Deportations

That's the crux of the matter. They are terrified at the mere thought of having their illegal citizens returned to Mexico. If Mexicans are so essential to strengthening the U.S. workforce, why isn't Mexico encouraging them to return to help "strengthen" Mexico? Furthermore, if we are only deporting "violent" criminals, why on earth should we halt deportations? Why should we allow Mexico's miscreants to remain in the U.S. to victimize our citizens? If that isn't nerve, please tell me what is.

I guess Mexico didn't get the memo. Obama has already stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants and the workplace raids. I am with you how do we strengthen the U.S. workforce with 23 million Americans out of work while adding millions of illegal immigrants to the mix permanently to compete for American jobs?

I've always mentioned that. If they are so @#$ valuable why aren't States fighting over who gets the most? Because it's all a load of bologna.

And i as usual agree with both you and Benicar. How in the hell do we ever strengthen our U.S. workforce, with 23 million Americans out of work, while adding million of illegals to this mix.

I knew 23 families who were caught up in the loss of a job and a job and a home, the past 4 years that Obama served to bring Hope n' Change. Boy did those families i know who lost jobs and homes, get Change, not good change.

I still know families who are trying to get themselves out of the mess they were caught in. Has to do with where the jobs are, and what is in demand.

This time around i know 4 families who are already impacted from Obama's 2nd term. We really do not need millions of illegals adding to this problem.
And it is a problem, because i know some people whose hours have been put down.

They can say whatever the hell the sheep will buy. People who have been impacted are not buying a thing they have to sell.

Just face it you guys...we're screwed and it's our own government (from the late 60s onward) who are orchestrating our destruction.

All I can say is thank g-d I didn't have children. I'd spend my nights being rattled awake soaked in cold sweat after having repeated nightmares about what their future would hold.

We're on a direct path to neo-industrial feudalism. I just hope I don't live to see it get really bad. And people wonder why I smoke a pack a day. No way in hell do I want to live to be 100.

Nothing the Mexican government says or does surprises me anymore. They're as galling and hypocritical as our own government except they're not even hiding their ethnocentrism.

Till we're dead there's still hope or if boxed in a corner, I'll go down fighting. I can't say more because of CDF rules.

If I had children or if society at large treated me with more kindness and respect, I might feel the same way. But I don't.

Illegals fleeing Mexico are a win-win for Mexico. Some might send remittances back for a while and Mexico gets rid of it's indigent population.
