Obama to hold Congress to March deadline on immigration reform (2013, visas)

President Obama set an ambitious agenda at last night’s State of the Union address, but according to the White House that’s not going to stop him from pushing immigration reform. Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council Cecilia Munoz said during a conference call today that President Obama has will hold Congress to an early March deadline on immigration reform.....But with just a few weeks left until March, Obama’s ambitious State of the Union speech begged the question of whether a bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform plan would be possible in such a short time frame.

I don't see how this is more important than getting Americans back to work. The government should be using their time to help out Americans unemployed, underemployed ETC...

Well, this should be interesting, especially considering the border is still porous and DHS still doesn't know who, when, where, how, or even IF foreigners here on tourist visas are leaving this country. There must be a very special agenda for such a rush. Or, is this his strategy for ensuring CIR's failure?

You might be onto something there: the illegals NEVER got any sort of amnesty from Obama between 2008 and 2012; he may have played them for the fools and crooks they are and will keep it up.
