Really? According to this page:

Death Row Offenders with Citizenship other than American (http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/stat/nationalities.htm - broken link)

there are only 15 Mexican nationals on Texas's death row. I'm sure illegals do end up on death row in Texas, I'm just not sure where you got your info...

I think most of the rest are from south of Mexicos southern border and a very few are from elsewhere aroung the world.
