Since a citizen's arrest is legal under the US Constitution maybe the solution to the illegal alien infestation is to encourage the citizen's arrest of illegal aliens. States that have infestation problems could even allocate money towards covering the expenses of such said arrests. Perhaps local community involvement is necessary to clean up the mess we're in today. It could be modeled after the Guardian Angles program. Depending on what area of the country you live in and where you work maybe your employer would even give you paid time off to participate in this program. Plus, private citizens don't need warrants. Warrants only apply to government agencies.

unless you can prove that theyre illegal before apprehension, youre stepping into a world of potential legal troubles.
Prove they're illegal or have reasonable cause? Besides, protections for participants could be legislated.
What you suggested (citizens arrest) was done in Az a couple of years ago - the citizen was arrested on a false imprisonment charge. Said charge was quickly dropped by the courts and the citizen successfully litigated against the county that arrested him - I believe they settled with him for some 300K.
Those that were detained were, in fact, in the country illegally. They were turned over to ICE and were deported
Sometimes illegal alien gang-bangers don't do too well in school. They often lack writing skills, and sometimes I've noticed in their grafitti that the word "Barrio" is spelled "Varrio". The "B" and "V" sounds are pretty much the same in Spanish, but it's still a case of "bad grammar".
Nevertheless, even knowing this, I've never had the urge to track these gang-bangers down and correct their spelling. Nor do I have any plans to make a citizen's arrest of them, at any time soon. Somehow I just don't think it would be very smart for me to do that alone, for any number of reasons.....

Ah you make a great point.
I have years of martial arts experience, years of training with a fire arm and still I would think twice about making a citizens arrest. I would however gather as much data as possible and turn it into the proper authorities. I would make them sign for said evidence then send a copy of all the above to all my local news agencies. Kind of a 2 for. 1 make the law enforce the laws.

This is a really slippery slope. if you execute this, you may step into a legal moshpit. But if you have very convincing evidence that they is illegal, i'd say go for it. Of course if i did it, i'd make sure to have a gun on me. Also i'd want a reward for every illegal i turn in.

Several people I know in California attempted that with police presence in Maywood, CA against the person who wrapped me in a Mexican flag and shoved me into a crowd of illegal aliens and their supporters to be beaten within an inch of my life.
The police could have been less interested and refused to cooperate.
The Constitution may be on the side of the citizen, but those who control law enforcement many times are not.
Wal-Mart & every other store has scanners with UPC data for every product in the store. The government just needs to simply make a Social Security scanner, make it available to citizens that wish to go after these illegals. You can find out if their illegal right then & there by checking for fake or stolen numbers. As far as these brian dead cholo "Gang Banger's" it would be best to have a small group of Neo-Minutemen traveling together well armed. I think the thought of that alone will get the little Roaches scattering back to the border. If anybody (American Citizens) start getting hurt than we'll declare all out war on these foreign invaders. It sounds harsh but think about what will become of our country in another 15-20 years if we do nothing? I mean it's obvious that our government has no intention of stopping it. AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK FROM WITH IN!!! STOP THE INVASION OF MEXICO BEFORE IT'S TO LATE!!!!!!
