PHOENIX - A 9-year-old boy looking for help after his mother crashed their van in the southern Arizona desert was rescued by a man entering the U.S. illegally, who stayed with him until help arrived the next day, an official said.

Every illegal immigrant who rescues a boy in the desert should be IMMEDIATELY made a US Citizen, with no waiting period or other requirements.....However, it's unlikely that this will ever become a regular occurrence.

well the illegal did a good thing but he should still be subject to the laws and should be deported. if we start letting lawbreakers off for doing good deeds it wont be long b4 killers get off b/c they gave someone CPR.

The illegal alien should still be deported. All illegal aliens that break our border laws should be prosecuted and jailed. This guy did help the 9 year old child, so whatever jail sentence he gets should be suspended.
If I were the family of the boy, I would support his being deported but offer assistance in helping him reutrn legally. It could've turned out pretty worse if the boy had been found by drug smugglers or coyotes.

I agree. The family should offer any financial assistance needed to gain legal citizenship, if it were my son, I surely would.

Even if it means deporting the person in question back to Mexico or wherever he came from; I would make damn sure that he was taken care of i.e. a vehicle, medical care, whatever.
