Irving mom's dilemma: dad deported, kids 'are from here'
"officer pulled him over..for driving with expired license plates and no driver's license. Police arrested him for outstanding warrants related to unpaid traffic tickets.
He also carried a fake Social Security card, police said".
'Earlier this month, she made her decision. She and the children rejoined her husband in Mexico. He found a new job in an office. He's earning good money because he speaks some English. They had already built a house in Mexico and always planned to go back someday, she said.
She plans to enroll her children in a private school, where they will continue to learn English.'
Apparently, problem solved.
I guess no one stopped her from taking her kids home to Mexico, despite their being "from here". Go figure.
Yea, but those kids will be back to reap the rewards of having citizenship. May not if their life in Mexico gets better but who knows. It's an option open to them.

BooHoo, Lakewooder . . . you should be ashamed of yourself.
Were you the BAD GUY who held a gun to his head forcing him to enter this country illegally? Then did you force him to drive without a permit and an invalid registration on his vehicle?
What amazes me is the sheer arrogance of these illegals. Why do they continue to snub their noses at our laws even after they have entered illegally . . . as if they are daring the authorities? In this case, it is fairly obvious this family had plans to run back to Mexico if a problem arose but I doubt if that is typical.
If I were living in Mexico (or any country for that matter) illegally, I would never drive an unregistered vehicle or blatantly ignore tickets.

And those kids will get jobs here much faster than the majority of American kids who can barely speak one language, much less two.
Illegal aliens believe the risk doesn't outweigh the consequences...and they are right.
Jail time is unlikely and fines go unpaid, just like medical bills.
In the unlikely event of jail time, they know that it's a luxury suite compared to the jails south of the border.
There is a solution: Report ALL infractions of the law no matter how trivial it may seem. Use your cell phone to call 911 when you see eratic drivers, cars without plates or invalid registration stickers (current years are brightly different), drivers or passengers with alcoholic beverages.
In your town, be aware of code violations: littered yards, construction without visible permits, unlicensed vehicles in the street or driveway, uncared pets. Also report panhandling or food vendors without permits (you'll likely see them in places where illegals congregate during lunch breaks).
Police are here to protect and serve, but they need the help of an aware citizen.
Yay! We've deported some poor illegal people. I'm sorry but this story doesn't make me feel good. Most illegals are here for a better life, not to terrorize American's lifestyles.
